Billie Eilish has shown off a tattoo that she vowed fans would never see.
The 22-year-old singer, best known for hit tracks including ‘Bad Guy’ and ‘Happier Than Ever’, sent fans wild last year after a friend of hers gave them a glimpse of one of her intimate tattoos.
Eilish has previously been clear that she would prefer to keep a lot of her body art private, telling Vanity Fair: “The only tattoos I wanna get are the ones that barely anyone can see.”
“I did get a tattoo, but you won’t ever see it,” she added.
Just a year later, she confirmed that she had gotten her first tattoo, and then in 2021, she revealed that she ended up getting a few more.
“I have three tattoos, now,” Eilish admitted in October 2021 during the outlet’s infamous ‘Same Interview Fifth Year’ YouTube show. “I have one here that says ‘Eilish.’ Yes, I love myself,” she said pointing to her chest.
“I have one here – big boy here,” the musician added, motioning to the right side of her rib cage before going on to add: “And then, I just got this a few weeks ago, which is some fairies that are from a book that I had growing up — a little fairy book called Fairyopolis,”
She revealed the ink on her left wrist and down the back of her hand, stating: “They’re like my little guardian angel fairies.”
While she may have talked about her infamous ‘Eilish’ tattoo, fans were curious to see if they would ever get a glimpse of it – and now they have thanks to Annabel Zimmer, daughter of the acclaimed film composer Hans Zimmer.
Taking to Instagram, Zimmer gave fans what they were gagging for with a casual snapshot that featured the singer soaking up the sun sporting sunglasses and a bikini top.
Under the bikini top, in the middle of her chest, you can see the tattoo drawn in an “ornate, gothic font” as described by Rolling Stone.
