☄️ Halley’s Comet is back… but this time, it’s raining fire across the skies 😳 The Eta Aquariid meteor shower is peaking — and it’s all thanks to a cosmic trail left behind by the legendary comet 🌌 Full story and best viewing times are in the comments below 👇

Posted on May 13, 2025

On May 5–6, 2025, the Eta Aquariid meteor shower will peak, lighting up the sky with debris left behind by Halley’s Comet.

Though the comet itself won’t be back until 2061, Earth passes through its dusty trail every year, producing up to 50 meteors per hour in the Southern Hemisphere (10–20 in the North). The best viewing is before dawn, between 3–5 a.m. Find a dark spot, let your eyes adjust, and enjoy the show—no telescope needed. Fast-moving meteors with glowing trails make this one of the year’s most spectacular sky events.
